Largest MUN in Andhra Pradesh
Led 19-member team organizing largest MUN in Andhra Pradesh with 500+ delegates. Secured nearly $6000 in sponsorship funding, built conference website, implemented SEO techniques, and developed automation scripts for operations.
About Me
Hi, I’m Saharsh — I’m a freshman at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, specializing in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning.
My journey into tech started when my dad gave me a Python book as a kid and I got hooked on the computer doing exactly what I told it to. It turned into something more serious in high school, when I got into competitive programming and qualified for the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics, and then into research.
Most of what I’ve built has come out of problems I ran into in Andhra Pradesh, where I grew up. That’s led me through Computer Vision, NLP, model optimization, and enough Flask and cloud deployment to get things in front of real users. I’ve published at IEEE, done research under a Cambridge professor, and created a web-app that helped 100+ farmers become financially educated.
I’m early enough that I’d rather stay curious across a few areas than pick one. Right now I’m most drawn to computer vision, efficient model deployment, and systems work.
